The Blewbury
Players

The Blewbury Players are a long-established amateur theatre company at the heart of village life in Blewbury, South Oxfordshire, known for producing a broad mix of drama and entertainment while putting strong emphasis on community participation and audience experience. The Blewbury Players is a registered charity and presents work both for and by the local community, building partnerships with other local groups and individuals as part of its wider cultural role in the village.

A distinctive part of its identity is its summer production at the Orchard Dene Garden Theatre, an outdoor venue in Blewbury that draws large audiences from the village and beyond, while other performances and events are staged in venues such as the Village Hall and St Michael’s Church, allowing the company to range from serious plays to lighter family entertainment such as pantomime.
